Master training

1- Day course material knowledge, from -200°C to +1300°CCINI-Academy offers you the opportunity to gain additional knowledge of materials in industrial insulation by following a 1-day course.

Cost: 599,– Euro/day, excl. VAT

Target audience

The CINI-Academy course for technical insulation has been developed for asset owners, supervisors, inspectors, designers, operational and maintenance managers, contractors, contractors, buyers, customer service employees. This course can also  be given on-site for a minimum of 8 people.

Program includes:

  • Which materials are used where between -200°C to +1300°C?
  • What are the effects that a temperature has on a material?
  • What are the specific points of attention of a material type?
  • What are the effects of composite insulation systems?
  • What are new developments regarding materials in the market?
  • What are the specific provisions you need to make when working with industrial insulation? (Personal protection)

Result

After the end of the day, we assume that your knowledge in materials for technical insulation has increased, that you are aware of how you can achieve a more sustainable insulation system or a more energy-saving insulation system by applying certain materials and that you have gained more knowledge in characteristic critical properties of certain temperatures and or materials.

Other information

The course is held in the Randstad. With a  minimum of  8 students, the course is also given on-site on the basis of a quotation. When giving the course, we use the guidelines of the government, which apply at that time.

The course can also be tailor-made. Different costs apply.

1- Day course cryogenic and cold insulation

CINI-Academy offers the possibility to gain extra knowledge about cryogenic and cold insulation systems with a 1-day course.

Costs: 599,– Euro/day, excl. VAT

The number of applications for cold and or cryogenic insulation is increasing enormously. It is these insulation systems that require special accuracy. Any small, non-system application or damage to the vapour barrier can have major consequences. As a basis for a good cryogenic and/or cold insulation system, we use the CINI guideline.

Target audience

The CINI-Academy course for technical insulation has been developed for clients (producers), supervisors, inspectors, designers, operational and maintenance managers, contractors and contractors. This course can also  be given on-site for a minimum of 8 people.

Program includes:

  • What are the conditions for applying a good cryogenic and/or cold insulation system?
  • Which materials can be used in cryogenic and cold insulation and what are the specific properties of these materials?
  • Real-life examples
  • ITP for cryogenic cold insulation

Note: You will not learn how to apply cold and or cryogenic insulation during this course. It is a theoretical module, this could be added to a customized training.

Result

After the end of the day, we assume that your knowledge about cryogenic and cold insulation systems has increased, that you are aware of the craftsmanship required for a reliable insulation system and that you have knowledge of a specific ITP for cold and cryogenic insulation systems.

Other information

The course is held in the Randstad. When giving the course, we use the regulations of the government, which apply at that time.

With a  minimum of  8 students, the course is also given on-site on the basis of a quotation. The course can also be tailor-made with, for example, a practical component in collaboration with a desired producer. Different costs apply.

1-day course acoustic insulation (to be developed)

1/2-day course CINICALC

CINI-Academy offers the possibility to  gain knowledge about the use of the insulation calculation program CINICALC with a 1/2-day course.

Costs: 399,– Euro, excl. VAT

The insulation calculation program offers the possibility to make the most common calculations for determining the insulation thickness in hot, cold and cryogenic situations, determining the heat loss in certain conditions and much more.

Target audience

The CINI-Academy course CINICALC is suitable for asset owners, supervisors, inspectors, designers, operational and maintenance managers, contractors and contractors and anyone who wants to work with the calculation program.  As prior knowledge, at least the knowledge level is required.  This course can also  be given on-site for a minimum of 8 people.

Contents

The course is given in one part of the day (4 hours) and will consist of the following topics:

  • Introduction of economic insulation thickness (CINI 6.1.01)
  • Introduction to the theory of calculating heat loss and insulation thicknesses and where different input data can be found
  • Introduction CINICALC – login, initial settings
  • Explanation menu structure and navigation in the calculation program
  • Explanation of simple calculations (heat loss insulated and insulated pipes, frost protection, etc.)
  • Explanation table calculations for economic insulation thickness and heat loss
  • Explanation of reporting of the performed calculations

Result

After following this course, the participant will be able to apply the calculation program CINICALC and complete the most common calculations.

The CINI Course “Inspector Insulation for Industries” is a 1‑day course for those wishing to become a certified CINI Insulation Inspector.
This course only can be followed by future inspectors that have attended the 2‑day CINI Course, who own the CINI Manual and have at least 2 years proven experience in the field of thermal insulation in industries. Candidates with an extended proven track record in thermal insulation practices are also welcome. Thereto all candidates shall submit their CV.
The CINI Course “Inspector Insulation for Industries” contains a class room workshop training covering in more depth the topics of thermal insulation, corrosion under insulation and the inspectors duties in new construction and maintenance projects.

Presentation

In addition the candidate shall submit prior to the course a field case of own experience about an insulation inspection, a description and analysis of the problem and the technical solution of the same. This case shall be explained by the candidate during the course in a brief presentation with Q&A, to the board of examiners and the other candidates.

Examination

Furthermore the course will be completed with several tests comprising practical cases, multiple choice and descriptive questions designed to test the candidates understanding of industrial insulation techniques and the content of the CINI Manual.

Both for the field case and the several tests points can be scored. Candidates who reach the pass mark of 75% will receive a certificate card.
The certificate card is specific to the individual candidate and is valid for a period of 5 years.

Invitation

After registration via the website, the participant will receive an official invitation with instructions, four weeks before the course. He shall submit a report regarding the field case prior to the course to the Secretariat of NCTI through info@ncti.nl. The CINI courses will be held in Spijkenisse in The Netherlands.
